CEREC® Imaging for Same-day Treatment

CEREC advanced dental technology.CEREC® (Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics) is an innovative system that can improve both restorative and cosmetic dentistry. If you are in need of a crown, bridge, or veneers, Dr. Watson can use CEREC® imaging to create the restoration in one appointment.

After reshaping and prepping your tooth for treatment, he will take digital impressions. The images will upload to a chairside computer, where he can design your restorations. As he works, you will be able to watch. You will know exactly what to expect, and you can often request changes to meet your aesthetic goals.

When the designs are finished, our in-office milling machine will fabricate your restoration. In a matter of minutes, the machine will produce durable restorations from a block of porcelain. The material comes in many different shades, and Dr. Watson will choose the color that best blends with your smile.

Once the restoration is finished, Dr. Watson will place it on your tooth. Thanks to the advanced materials, CEREC® restorations often require less alteration of your tooth structure.

Soft-tissue Lasers for Periodontal Care

Gum disease is a serious concern that can cause widespread tooth loss. For this reason, it is important to seek appropriate care as soon as possible. In the past, periodontal treatment was a lengthy process that could cause significant discomfort.

Today, the process involves minimal irritation, thanks to soft tissue lasers. These tools can eradicate pockets of bacteria with little effect on the surrounding tissues. Not only are the lasers highly accurate, but they are also safe, serving as a low risk technique.

Dr. Watson can also use soft tissue lasers for cosmetic procedures. If you have an uneven gum line, or if your gums are too large in proportion to your teeth, he can trim away a small amount of tissue. The laser will enable him to achieve highly precise results. It will also seal off blood vessels, resulting in minimal inflammation and bleeding.

Air Abrasion Instruments for Minimal Discomfort Procedures

Before placing a filling, crown, or veneers, Dr. Watson will need to reshape your teeth. This process will eliminate bacteria and damaged tissue, if present.

Air abrasion instruments can make this process more comfortable than one might think. The devices are gentle and accurate, and do not create displeasing noises or vibrations. Best of all, most patients enjoy minimal discomfort care with no need for anesthesia.
